I became interested in acupuncture after I tried it to treat a chronic musculoskeletal issue after numerous attempts through conventional medicine proved to be ineffective. I was very pleased with the results and particularly liked the way it made me feel more relaxed and better able to cope with stress. I previously worked in the Pharmaceutical industry for many years and understand the pressures and strains that a modern working life can bring.

I had previously assumed that acupuncture was only used for musculoskeletal problems so I was surprised when my other issues (chronic productive cough which was diagnosed as asthma and depleted energy levels) were rapidly resolved by the treatments. It was explained to me that acupuncture treats the whole person and tackles the underlying problem and not simply the symptoms. Acupuncture particularly interested me because it is also drug-free and has little side-effects (if they do occur they are mild and self-correcting).

I trained at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, qualifying with a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I also hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Southampton. I am full member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians. I am also compliant with current health and safety regulations.
